Sunny's journey in tennis started with impressive rankings in former Yugoslavia / Serbia and County Vojvodina (part of Serbia) during his junior years. He represented County Vojvodina in The National Cup Championships showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. As he transitioned into the senior category he achieved a ranking of 25 in Yugoslavia and reached a remarkable rating of 1.5 in the United Kingdom during the 1993/94 season.
Sunny's commitment to excellence extends beyond the court. He pursued his education at the College of Law in Sombor Serbia earning the title of Law Technician in 1987. Subsequently he obtained a degree in Law from the University of Law in Novi Sad Serbia in 1992.
Sunny Dimic's coaching journey began in 1992 when he earned his Tennis Coach Diploma in Serbia. His dedication and proficiency led him to achieve the LTA Club Coach Award (LTA Level 4) in the United Kingdom in June 1997. His coaching career spans several prestigious tennis clubs and organizations where he has made a significant impact on players of all ages and abilities.
Throughout his career Sunny has held various coaching positions at renowned clubs such as TC Zak Sombor Tennis Club in Serbia David Lloyd Club in Enfield and Chris Lane Tennis Club (later renamed David Lloyd) in Woking. I have known Sunny for over 25 years and he is one of the best coaches in the game. Having worked with tour-level professionals, his technical and tactical knowledge is exceptional; however, what makes Sunny stand out is his commitment to player development, whether he is working with red ball players, adult beginners, or touring pros. Sunny is also a meticulous planner; every minute on court is accounted for, which ensures players get the most out of their time on court. I cannot recommend Sunny highly enough.
My name is Philip Parkin and I have known Sunny for over 20 years. I have always found Sunny to be very professional and organised. He is a great coach to all levels and continues to strive to improve. I would highly recommend Sunny to anyone who wants to improve their tennis programme or their own tennis.
I have known Sunny for more than 20 years. We previously worked together at The Chris Lane Club, an independent tennis & family club in Surrey. He is reliable, organised, trustworthy and extremely professional with a sound knowledge of teaching tennis. He is able to work with players of all ages & abilities in both group or 1:1 situations. He is friendly and able to engage with all types of people. He is also one of the hardest working Tennis Pro's I have ever worked with! I can vouch for Sunny 100% and am more than happy to give him a reference if needed.
Sunny is a fantastic coach! I’ve been taking lessons from Sunny since July 2023 and have enjoyed every lesson since.
Sunny is all about getting you to enjoy tennis first, because if you don’t enjoy it, you won’t get anything out of it . I strongly believe since I’ve had lesson with him I have fallen in love with the game of tennis even more.
Despite being a beginner I feel like I’ve developed great form and techniques in my groundstrokes that can rival other recreational players who’ve been playing for years. Sunny’s passion for tennis is so apparent you can see it in his lessons, he will devote all his time into you, if you too have the drive and passion to perform at your best. He will work on your form and technique and develop every aspect of your game.
To whom it may concern, I would like to give my reference in relation to Sunny Dimic, who was the former Head Coach at Coombe Wood tennis club. I trained with Sunny for 3 years, regularly having two lessons a week, in the summer and the winter. I was looking to improve my game and imagined I would only have a few lessons, but we developed a great rapport with each other, especially as Sunny always made the lessons not only technical but fun and interesting. I saw how fantastic he was with the kids at the club and really put a lot of effort into organising and promoting the kid's camps, which I was more than happy to send my daughter to. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a Head Coach, a role which I am sure he would bring his warmth, experience enthusiasm and expertise.
Sunny is enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated to everything he does on and off court. Fast paced drills have meant I've been able to maximise my time on court with him to work on my game. When not on court, Sunny is always helping around the club to keep it well maintained which is appreciated by many. He has also offered me free practice hitting sessions which I am grateful for and I'm sure others who have had a hit with him before would say the same.
I would definitely recommend Sunny as he goes above and beyond around the club and is always happy to give out coaching advice and his free time to play and practice.
